What is FreeSaver2K?
FreeSaver2K is a totally free
Screensaver for Windows 95/98/NT/2000.
Why FreeSaver2K?
I was looking for a screensaver
that would let me use scanned pictures/images my daughter, but all the
ones I found were $hareware, a pain in the ass, didn't let me use the file
types I wanted, or all the above! So, I decided to write my own.
All in all, it took me about 8 hours total with VB. I can NOT
believe that people write screensavers and try and charge $$ for them!!
The end result is IMO a very good basic screensaver with a good configuration screen. My intention all along was to make a screensaver that I could use and that I would also provide free to anyone who wanted it.
How Does FreeSaver2K
Work?
FreeSaver2K allows you to
specify up to 32 pictures (GIF, JPEG, BMP, DIB, etc)
to be displayed on your screensaver
and has configurable delay between pictures.
